Tiffany serves on the Board of Directors of Shine the Light for Abducted Children, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families affected by domestic and international child abduction through advocacy and awareness initiatives. Additionally, as the Editor of their newsletter, The Shining Hope, Tiffany plays a pivotal role in disseminating crucial information and fostering hope within the community.
UN Women, a global champion for women and girls, expressed solidarity with Tiffany through letters and inquiries to international officials
In 2016, the Brazilian Senate held a public hearing with the Commission on Human Rights and Minorities to discuss Tiffany’s case of domestic violence, moral damage, and parental alienation. The hearing provided a platform for the advocacy of foreign women residing in Brazil.
CLADEM (Latin American and Caribbean Committee for the Defense of Women’s Rights) endorsed Tiffany’s case and requested justice for her and her children. The entity is a participating NGO in the Organization of American States (OAS) and has consulting status at the United Nations.
Tiffany’s mother, Cheryl Shirley, was invited to the Capitol Complex in Washington DC to highlight her daughter’s struggle and advocate for access to equal and effective justice for her grandchildren.
